Our proprietary case management system, built specifically for California Workers’ Compensation, uses AI and modern technology to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.If you’re passionate about advocating for injured workers and want to make a meaningful impact alongside an experienced and innovative team, we invite you to join Nyman Turkish.ResponsibilitiesPerform initial case evaluations and develop case strategiesManage a caseload of 150–250 workers’ compensation cases profitablyAssign, delegate, and oversee tasks of case managers, legal assistants, and other support staffConduct effective discovery to gather necessary evidence for litigationEvaluate medical records and legal reports using AMA Guides to Permanent Disability (5th Edition)Draft settlement demands based on case value assessmentsNegotiate settlements and advise clients on legal issuesRepresent clients at depositions, hearings, trials, and appellate proceedingsDraft legal documents including settlements, trial briefs, appellate briefs, petitions, and correspondenceRequirementsMinimum 5 years' experience in California Workers’ Compensation with experience managing a caseloadJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law schoolCurrently admitted to the State Bar of CaliforniaStrong legal writing and research skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesHighly detail-oriented and deadline-drivenProven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced environmentBenefits100% of employee medical, dental, life, and disability insurance paid by the firm.401(k) with a 6% employer matchPaid holidaysUnlimited paid time off and 40 hours of sick timeRemote/Hybrid opportunitiesCompensationExpected first year compensation of $250,000 (inclusive of base + bonus)Base salary $125k - $150k (doe) and bonus on fees earned, with expected total compensation of $250k - $350kEqual Opportunity EmployerNyman Turkish is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
