Shipping Clerk

Description Under the direction of the Director of Operations, this position assists with shipping and inventory accuracy, and material handling. The Shipping and Inventory Clerk ensures accurate levels of inventory for critical production material to support manufacturing as well as processes and ships service part orders, and moves production material throughout the shop. This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time Tasks: * Maintain service order database * Examines service pieces to verify conformance to specifications * Confer with Plant Manager regarding delays, rush orders, etc., * Prepare and ship service orders via UPS or FedEx * Perform inventory control functions to ensure inventory accuracy for required materials needed to support manufacturing and shipping activities * Perform cycle counts on schedule to verify actual against recorded inventory levels Requirements Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required Experience: * One year of inventory, shipping & receiving, or related experience * Experience with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite required * Forklift driving experience required Other Requirements: * Ability to drive a forklift * Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 25-pounds * Knowledge of Excel a must * Detail oriented * Basic mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure * Ability to track service order shipping dates * Ability to read and comprehend documents such as bills of materials and inventory records * Ability to prepare reports on current inventory of critical production materials * Ability to learn new management software for tracking shipping and inventory
