Tire Engineering/Manufacturing Intern

This position will support product development initiatives by supporting the technical teams through maintenance of documents and assisting in the resolution of material, construction, or process problems. This position will work in a team environment, seeking solutions to technical challenges and utilizing lean principles to enhance global standards and processes.Support departmental projects using strong engineering principles and techniques.Seeking solution of process capability or non-conformance problems.Use analytical tools to develop knowledge and experience.Support and enhance processes, methods, and procedures significant to product development.Work in a team environment towards bringing new product and technologies and techniques to the process.Prepares documentation, reports, and presentations of technical data related to studies and projects -speaks with data and facts in a clear and effective manner.All other duties assigned by manager or engineering advisor.Good knowledge of structural mechanics and dynamics Good knowledge of data analysis tools, especially Microsoft officeUnderstanding of applied statistics, Design of Experiments, cause-and-effect analysis; risk analysis; lean principles.Ability to accomplish assignments in a logical fashion, using existing technology and standardized methodologies.Strong communication skills [written/oral] in presenting data and information to others.1- 5 Years’ college level experience with a focus on Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Sciences, or Business.
