Our team combines precision, professionalism, and the latest technology to support successful project outcomes.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief with at least 2 years of field surveying experience to lead and supervise a survey crew. This role will oversee all aspects of field data collection, construction layout, and project documentation using conventional surveying methods and modern equipment.ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise survey crew members in the fieldPerform construction layout, stakeouts, and field measurements for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projectsConduct boundary, topographic, right-of-way, and acquisition surveysOperate total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying instrumentsReview and interpret real estate documents, site plans, and record drawingsProduce accurate field notes, sketches, and digital filesEnsure compliance with project specifications, safety protocols, and deadlinesCoordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify requirements and resolve issuesQualificationsMinimum 2 years of field surveying experience, preferably as a Party Chief or Crew ChiefProficiency with conventional and GPS survey equipment (e.g., total stations, data collectors)Strong understanding of survey methods, construction layout, and project documentationAbility to read and interpret plans, plats, and engineering drawingsExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsValid driver’s license and reliable transportationSkillsExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar drafting softwareKnowledge of local, state, and federal survey regulationsPrior experience with residential, commercial, and infrastructure projectsBenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysOpportunities for career growth and professional developmentHow to ApplyApply now with your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant experience.Rober Survey is a small company that provides residential and commercial surveying for homeowners and larger clients.
