In this role, you'll oversee all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and tenant satisfaction. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams locally and across the globe, embodying our culture of collaboration while driving innovative solutions that set new industry standards. This position requires a strategic mindset combined with hands-on expertise, as you'll be responsible for developing preventive maintenance programs, managing capital improvement projects, and ensuring regulatory compliance.**What your day-to-day will look like:*** Develop and execute comprehensive engineering strategies and preventive maintenance programs across assigned properties* Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, fostering an environment where everyone is empowered to thrive* Manage capital improvement projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards* Conduct regular property inspections and system assessments to identify optimization opportunities and potential issues* Collaborate with property managers, vendors, and contractors to deliver seamless building operations and tenant experiences* Analyze energy consumption data and implement sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact* Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, safety codes, and industry best practices**Required Qualifications:*** 5+ years of experience in commercial property engineering or facilities management* Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and building automation systems* Strong project management skills with experience managing multi-million dollar capital improvement projects* Excellent leadership and team development capabilities* Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building automation platforms* Experienced in GxP understanding the importance of proper documentation**Preferred Qualifications:*** Experience with smart building technologies and IoT integration* Knowledge of local building codes and regulatory requirements* Strong financial acumen with experience in budget development and cost control* Previous experience in commercial real estate or property management industry**Location**: San Diego, CA**Shift**: Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 3:30 PM, OT as needed + on-call responsibilities**Estimated compensation for this position:**900,000.00 – 130,000.00 USD per year*This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
