Our team of ~100 employees is continuously growing, and we need honest, reliable, and fun individuals to join us.Why Join Us?Stable high-technology company, Fun-loving team members.401(k), Profit Sharing, PTO, Vision, Dental, Health, Holidays.Close to BART and light rail.PositionWe are currently hiring an Automation Engineer (Machine Design).ResponsibilitiesUtilize CAD and mechanical engineering fundamentals to design, prototype, and implement automated machinery for in-house tegrate mechanical designs with software and electrical to build robust machines.Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to develop and maintain design and process requirements.Generate, maintain, and execute project plans for building new machines and improving old machines.Perform engineering evaluations and qualifications to verify and validate machines.Create documentation detailing the design, build instructions, and work instructions of machines.QualificationsEducation: B.S. or greater in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Experience: Two plus years of experience preferred.General RequirementsExperience designing mechatronics systems and/or tabletop machinery.Experience with mechanical CAD using SolidWorks or similar software.Experience creating engineering drawings to the ASME drafting standards.Experience using power tools.Familiarity with electrical or computer engineering is a plus.Logical trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Highly detail-oriented.Good organizational skills.Fast learner, self-motivated, and accomplishment driven.Ability to work productively in a small-team setting, and occasionally work solo.Skilled in use of MS Office computer applications.Physical AttributesSitting, standing, walking, and computer use up to 8 hours/day.Manual dexterity and fine motor skills.Physical ability to lift 25+ pounds.Employees EnjoyMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.FSA (Flexible Spending Account).Life Insurance and Long-term Disability.Paid Holidays & PTO.401(k).Profit Sharing.This position requires handling of product or information which is subject to ITAR regulations.
