**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.** • Develops pricing models for prospective and existing client pricing that determine pharmacy discounts, rebates and products & services being offered. • Develops and implements innovative pricing strategies that improve market competitiveness while maintaining profitability goals. • Tracks and reports on the deltas between modeled and actual pricing. • Incorporates the impacts of new products and services, special program offerings, company initiatives, and industry developments into the pricing process. • Ensures RFP responses accurately reflect pricing strategy and cost of services contained in financial model developed for client. • Provides responses to certain financial questions for RFPs. • Utilizes understanding of components that influence pricing and able to identify those that could pose financial risk. • Develops pricing strategies for various market segments such as Medicaid, Medicare D, Self-Insured, and Managed Care Organizations. • Gathers market trend information from all relevant sources to be used in establishing parameters in pricing model. **Supervisory Responsibilities** This job has no supervisory responsibilities. **Client Responsibilities** This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written).One must be able to; Respond promptly to client needs; solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients; Manage difficult or emotional client situations. **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. **Education and/or Experience** Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a quantitative based field such as Math, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting along with 5+ years’ proven quantitative experience, preferably with PBM pricing or actuarial experience. Previous Pharmacy Benefit Management, healthcare or managed care experience highly preferred. **Computer Skills** To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Access. Good working knowledge of MS Word/Outlook as well as relational databases. **Other Skills and Abilities** • Must be highly analytical, strategic, and detail-oriented • Strong communication and decision making skills • Work on multiple complex assignments simultaneously • Ability to work in a team environment • Ability to analyze data using Excel or Access **Reasoning Ability** Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs) and a variety of abstract and concrete variables. **Mathematical Skills** Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. **Language Skills** Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors. **Competencies** To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: **Work Location** This position works remotely. Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders. **Working Hours** This is an exempt level position requiring the incumbent to work the hours required to fully accomplish job responsibilities and reasonable meet deadlines for work deliverables. The individual must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, weekends or on holidays as required. Work hours may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
