Apply Today!MetroSys is seeking a seasoned Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable, high-performance data systems. Reporting directly to the CTO, this individual will set strategic architectural standards, align technical solutions with business objectives, and provide mentorship to our growing team of data engineers.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data modeling, cloud-native architectures, and experience working with AWS technologies such as Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, and visualization tools like Tableau. Experience with AI/ML data enablement and large language models (LLMs) is highly desired.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAI/ML Infrastructure EnablementArchitect and maintain AI-ready data environments using Amazon Bedrock for LLM integration (Claude, Llama, Titan, etc.). Develop secure and compliant pipelines for prompt engineering and model fine-tuning.Data Architecture & ModelingDesign and optimize data systems using both SQL and NoSQL paradigms (e.g., DynamoDB). Ensure data is structured to support real-time and batch inference workflows.Cloud Data PlatformsArchitect solutions using AWS services including Redshift, Athena, Lambda, and S3 for efficient storage, processing, and analytics workflows.ETL and Data IntegrationBuild and manage robust ETL pipelines with AWS Glue, Step Functions, and other modern orchestration tools.Data Visualization & ReportingPrepare data for dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau or similar BI frastructure as Code (IaC)Use CloudFormation or Terraform to define and manage reusable data infrastructure components.Security & ComplianceEnsure all data architectures adhere to privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and implement industry best practices for encryption and access control.Performance & ReliabilityMonitor and troubleshoot system performance issues, identifying improvements for reliability and scalability.Collaboration & MentorshipWork closely with product owners, engineers, and stakeholders. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s preferred)Minimum 8 years of software or data engineering experience, with 3+ in an architectural capacityStrong knowledge of data modeling and optimization for OLTP and OLAP systemsHands-on experience with AWS data tools: Redshift, Athena, DynamoDB, S3Prior work with generative AI/LLM environments (Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, etc.)Experience building secure, scalable data pipelinesFamiliar with compliance and security standards relevant to data (e.g., CCPA, GDPR)We've received your resume.
