You build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and are dedicated to a culture of continuous improvement for yourself, your team, and our products.ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will architect and implement health features across iOS, watchOS, and macOS, guiding them from initial concept to shipping product. This involves developing and implementing sensor fusion algorithms using sensors such as accelerometers, gyroscopes, heart rate, and others to power new health & wellbeing experiences. A critical part of your work will be collecting high-quality data for development, and later, validating and optimizing algorithm performance on-device to meet strict power, memory, and privacy requirements.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related technical fieldsMinimum 3 years of professional software development experienceStrong proficiency in one of C++, Objective-C or Swift languagesSolid understanding of performance optimization, memory management, and power-efficient programmingPreferred QualificationsStrong presentation skills and ability to explain complex software concepts to health, research, and clinical professionalsExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersMobile app development experience (iOS, watchOS, SwiftUI)Background in digital signal processing (DSP) and time-series analysis, particularly for biometric or inertial sensor data.Relevant experience within health domains (including work with SaMD or regulatory products)Proficiency with Python data analysis libraries (matplotlib, pandas, numpy)Experience with machine learning frameworks and algorithm implementationAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
