Based in our Berkeley office, this role offers an opportunity to work on a wide variety of remediation and hydrogeologic challenges and play a pivotal role in the success of our environmental programs.Key Responsibilities:+ Plan, manage, and execute environmental projects, including scopes of work, budgets, schedules, and team coordination+ Lead field efforts for hydraulic testing, soil and groundwater sampling, and well design/installation+ Develop hydrogeologic conceptual models and conduct groundwater and vadose zone flow and transport modeling+ Interpret geologic and hydrogeologic data, including stratigraphy, groundwater elevation, and contaminant plume mapping+ Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams, providing technical leadership and consultation+ Prepare, review, and edit technical reports, work plans, and regulatory deliverables+ Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations+ Supervise and mentor junior technical staff and multidisciplinary project teamsRequired Qualifications:+ B.S. in Hydrogeology, Geology, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)+ Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental remediation and hydrogeologic investigations+ California Professional Geologist (PG) or Certified Hydrogeologist (CHG) license+ Valid California driver's license and an acceptable DMV record+ In-depth knowledge of California and federal environmental regulations+ Experience in site redevelopment and environmental project permitting+ Strong skills in data interpretation, modeling, and technical writing+ Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:+ Experience in groundwater basin management and water resources projects+ Proficiency in analytical and numerical groundwater modeling software+ Familiarity with geochemical processes and natural attenuation assessmentsTop Skills:+ Hydrology & Hydrogeology+ Environmental Remediation+ Geological Analysis & Field Characterization+ Groundwater Flow & Transport ModelingPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.Weiss Associates offers a competitive compensation package including, but not limited to, bonus incentives, 401(k) and profit sharing; medical, dental, vision, voluntary life insurance, and more!Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Berkeley,CA.Application DeadlineThis position is anticipated to close on Jul 4, 2025.About ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
