OverviewSenior Director, Business Development, China CSP and Operations (DC-GPU).The RoleAMD is seeking an experienced professional for its Tier 1 CSP Business Group (DC GPU CBG), focused on driving business growth with China cloud providers and managing the operational processes for DC GPU CBG. The role requires deep engagement with engineering, sales, and customer success teams to drive China business growth and ensure successful deployment of AMD technologies in AI and cloud environments. A key part of the role also involves driving the overall DC GPU CBG process engine to ensure tight coordination with partner teams including sales, operations, and marketing stakeholders. This role will report directly to a CVP in the AMD DC GPU BU and will be based in the U.S.ResponsibilitiesDrive the strategy and playbook for AMD’s engagement with China cloud customers through deep understanding of customer needs, and the ability to synthesize a comprehensive hardware + software solution.Outline and operationalize strategic business targets aligned with corporate and BU-level goals.Execute to annual objectives as measured by design wins, revenue, and gross margin.Build and drive DC GPU CBG process framework for high impact and efficiency.Manage all operational processes including key forums for sales coordination, providing MOF/LRP inputs, maintaining pricing POR and responses to sales escalations, and all other key KPI/dashboards.Engage with system hardware architects, software engineers, and thought leaders at customers and ensure efficient collaboration with AMD engineering and software teams.Lead technical and business-related follow-ups as AMD’s key point of contact.Build partnerships with CSPs’ internal sales teams and their end customers.Develop training materials and demand-generation content.Analyze industry trends, especially CSP performance in AI.Serve as first line of resolve for technical and quality issues with China CSPs.Forecast and align customer-specific revenue plans with AMD Sales teams.Collaborate extensively with AMD engineering, product, quality, and business planning teams, including across BUs.Preferred ExperienceExpertise in GPUs and acceleration in AI/cloud.Ability to assess technical and business trade-offs for ROI.History of executive-level interactions in business and technical domains.Extensive experience in business development or product management in the semiconductor industry.Experience managing quarterly forecasts, pricing, customer portfolio/roadmaps alignment, driving design wins, sell-in and sell-out enablement, and crafting overall account strategies.Understanding of where technology is heading and how to leverage it to drive customer interest.Solid experience and thorough understanding of datacenter, MDC, and channel business models.Strong leadership, collaboration, and cross-functional project management skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to customers, media, analysts, technical experts, and senior works with industry partners, competitors, customers, and thought leaders.Strategic thinker with integrity and strong work ethic; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.Academic CredentialsBS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.MBA preferred.LocationSanta Clara, CA or Austin, TX (May consider other western locations).Benefits and Equal OpportunityBenefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
