The Capital One Software team is exploring how these internal solutions across cloud, data, governance, and applications could serve the needs of other companies born or built in the cloud.RoleWe are seeking a strategically minded Senior Director and top notch problem solver to provide financial leadership to Capital One Software's business. This person will sit on the Capital One Software leadership team and directly support members of our Executive Committee. This role will create business cases to help evaluate expected return on investment for various initiatives across the software business, including model creation, consolidation of results, and overall coordination of the process for both the business and in conjunction with Card Finance. This role requires strong customer focus and partnering abilities, problem solving, strategic thinking, executive level communication, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis, along with relevant insights and recommendationsPartner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organization, specifically as we add new productsCommunicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiencesResponsibilitiesApplies integrative thinking skills to help build a scalable software businessCreate guardrails to forecast revenue, and the marginal cost of adding new productsDrives multiple projects by providing thought leadership and working closely with highly specialized subject matter experts across strategy, finance, and corporate developmentCommunicates analytic insights through clear, high impact, "executive-ready" presentations - Develops analytic frameworks to solve critical questions and guide strategic decision makingLeverages sound business judgment and logic to evaluate analytical results and formulate recommendations which include supporting rationaleBuilds relationships across the organization by partnering with peers and senior leaders throughout the companyLead and build a team of associates to support the businessBasic QualificationsBachelor/'s Degree or military experienceAt least 12 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy Consulting, or a combinationAt least 2 years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functionAt least 5 years of people management experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor/'s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or EconomicsMaster/'s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master/'s Degree in FinanceChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license10+ years of experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function10+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports5+ year of experience working with StartupsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.
