As a key member of the team, you will drive the end-to-end client experienceAs a Vice President within Business Development in Merchant Services, you will focus primarily on generating new business from prospective clients of JPMorgan Chase in the Technology Segment, which can include Merchants, Marketplaces, and Payment Facilitators. You will work closely with an established team of Bankers and Treasury Sales teams.Job ResponsibilitiesCultivate new business opportunities within the portfolio by aligning with the Banker and Treasury team to achieve individual sales goalsIdentify and leverage buying decision makers and centers of influence in a complex target client companyServe as a trusted advisor and client advocate, leveraging core knowledge, to recommend and promote banking and payment processing solutions to clients to make their business more successfulCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with key decision-makers at a variety of levels to evaluate needs, propose solutions from our suite of merchant services productsNegotiate and execute pricing terms and legal agreementsPartner with internal product stakeholders when representing the client perspective in the development/evolution of complex products and solutions-- works with internal partners to ensure successful implementation and product ramp-upProtect the firm by following sound risk management protocols and adhering to regulatory requirements; works directly with Credit, Risk, and Quality Control to adhere to Anti-Money Laundering/Know Your Customer regulationsRequired Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities8+ years of related sales and relationship management experienceStrong knowledge of the merchant services industry, products and services with a strong technical acumenTrack record of meeting and exceeding commercial targetsExcellent communication skills with individuals at all levels, internally and externallyProven ability to build relationships with clients and internal partners and influence others to achieve desired outcomesAbility to balance needs of clients with associated risks and interests of the firmEstablishes and consistently uses a disciplined process to manage time; uses time strategically to accomplish business objectivesDemonstrated ability to anticipate clients’ issues, own problems on clients’ behalf, and follow through with commitmentsHighly proficient in MS Office tools including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPointFederal Deposit Insurance ActThis position is subject to Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
