Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform (Extractor)OverviewWe are looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building products that customers love to use. You’ll work with remarkable colleagues on complex problems at enterprise scale, focusing on a state-of-the-art time series data platform that processes 20M+ workflows a day. You’ll collaborate with the product team to design and build a data platform that powers a best-in-class enterprise product suite used by leading companies.This is a fully remote opportunity and can be worked from any location in the United States.ResponsibilitiesHelp build and scale our state-of-the-art, configuration-driven data platform—processing millions of workflows each day to power Clari’s ML, AI, and Analytics/Forecasting productsDesign and develop reusable data integration APIs for our cloud data lake, with a strong emphasis on quality, architecture, and observabilityIdentify and strategize long-term opportunities, collaborate on planning, prioritization, and execution of the technical and architectural roadmap, and take ownership of driving product success in a fast-paced environmentConsistently deliver software on time, proactively identify risks, and effectively adjust and communicate plans to achieve team objectivesQualifications5+ years of experience in Java backend development, working with microservice-based paradigms and technologies across Data, Cloud Integration, and/or Search productsSolid understanding of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred)Experience with NoSQL systems (e.g., MongoDB)Hands-on experience building platforms on AWS (or similar cloud technologies)Proven track record of delivering reliable and scalable production software across distributed systemsExperience owning projects end-to-end — from design through deploymentStrong communication skills with the ability to influence technical directionPerks and BenefitsRemote-first with opportunities to work and celebrate in personMedical, dental, vision, short & long-term disability, Life insurance, and EAPMental health support provided by Modern HealthWell-being and professional development stipendsRetirement 401(k) plan100% paid parental leave, plus fertility and family planning support provided by MavenDiscretionary paid time off, monthly ‘take a break’ days, and Focus FridaysCharitable giving match, plus in-person and virtual eventsClari is committed to paying competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair, and equitable. Compensation is based on location, experience, and qualifications.
