In this role, you will ensure the reliability and performance of critical financial applications, support data governance and compliance initiatives, and collaborate across business and technology teams to enable data-driven decision making.ResponsibilitiesDesign and maintain enterprise database architecture to support high-volume financial transactions and reporting.Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with financial industry regulations.Optimize database performance, implement monitoring tools, and lead tuning initiatives.Partner with application developers, risk management, and business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.Lead data modeling, schema design, and integration efforts across trading, risk, and customer systems.Establish and enforce database standards, policies, and best practices.Oversee disaster recovery strategies, backups, and business continuity planning.Evaluate emerging database technologies and recommend adoption to enhance efficiency and security.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.5+ years of database design, development, and architecture experience in a financial services environment.Strong expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Deep understanding of financial data models, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.Experience with performance tuning, high availability, and secure data integration.Familiarity with cloud-based databases and data warehouses (AWS RDS/Redshift, Azure SQL, or GCP BigQuery).Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation TechnologyLocation: Boston, MA #J-18808-Ljbffr
