OverviewDirector, Market Strategy & Understanding at Ipsos in US. This role leads pricing, proposal development, and strategic guidance to grow Ipsos business with assigned clients. The position emphasizes connecting a spectrum of client needs, cross-service line collaboration, and leadership of project teams to deliver expert insights and impactful recommendations.What you can expect to be doingIndependently price and write full proposals of all types, with the goal of growing Ipsos business and presence with assigned clientsDevelop a vision for the spectrum of client needs and connect dots between projectsLink projects, pull in other service lines, proactively share Ipsos capabilities of interest, and moreEngage in new business outreach and structured business development plansInfluence internal process improvements and contribute to cross-sector education and service line expertiseMentor and train junior team members on best practices and career growthCreate an internal brand within Ipsos and establish what they want to be known for as an expertAct as primary project lead to the client, overseeing more junior membersHandle complex conversations around project design, analysis, and unexpected challengesProvide coaching and guidance to junior team members on client interactionsLead project management tasks for custom survey development, in-field challenges, and analysis planning/executionLead or co-lead final report writing, strategic client guidance and presentation of findingsMay supervise one or more Account Managers/Senior Account ManagersOversee training schedules, day-to-day guidance and supervision, and provide feedback (including during annual reviews)Act as strategic leader for project teams and, in some cases, for client account teamsAssess implications of actions, identify opportunities and risks, balance client needs with Ipsos outcomesWhat you’ll bringStrong Word, Excel, PowerPoint skillsSuperior organizational skills with the ability to manage and delegate work, and attention to detailAbility to balance detail with the bigger picture and overall objectivesExperience overseeing multiple projects and managing direct reportsStrong leadership skills with mentoring and management experienceCreativity in aligning project resources inside or outside the immediate project teamStrong research and analytic skills with the ability to think strategically about clients’ business and Ipsos growth opportunitiesHighly motivated, self-directed, and able to work under tight deadlinesStrong client relationships and excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal/presentation skillsMinimum of 7+ years of research experience; ideally at least 5 years on the supplier sideNote: If you don’t meet 100% of the requirements, we encourage all who feel they might be a fit to apply.
