Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeAs part of the Attorney General's Honors Program, the Geoffrey Wright Solicitor General Fellowship (previously known as the Earl Warren Solicitor General Fellowship) selects one recent law school graduate to serve in a limited term assignment as a Geoffrey Wright Fellow in the California Office of the Solicitor General. The Solicitor General is responsible for ensuring the excellence of the Attorney General's appellate practice. The Office of the Solicitor General serves as a clearinghouse for appeals handled by the Department of Justice; provides appellate advice to all divisions within the Department of Justice; prepares or oversees the preparation of briefs, petitions, and other papers filed in appellate courts, including the U.S. and California Supreme Courts; argues appeals in federal and state courts; and supports the improvement of appellate practice skills Department-wide. The Geoffrey Wright Fellow participates in and supports the work of the Office, working with other attorneys in the Office and the Department on a wide variety of civil, criminal, and public-rights matters, often under tight deadlines.
