Senior Counselor, Digital & Media Buying Dezenhall Resources, Ltd. is seeking a full-time Senior Counselor with experience in digital advocacy and media buying to join our dynamic and growing team in Washington, DC or remotely. While this Senior Counselor will be exposed to all elements of our client-facing business, the position will emphasize the strategy, planning, execution, and optimization of all digital media and paid advertising campaigns, as well as further building out our digital and paid media function within the firm. Responsibilities Grow Dezenhall’s ability to execute internal communications programs, with a focus on crisis, institutional change, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, human resources, shareholder activism and employee mobilization Counsel clients through reputation defense or enhancement programs, helping companies, trade associations and non-profits tell compelling brand stories both internally and externally Conceive and execute creative, impactful and integrated strategic and tactical communications programs for clients Think creatively about how our client’s Investor Relations teams can communicate to key audiences in the current media and information environment Distill complex issues into resonant communications products, delivered through a variety of channels Develop and maintain strong media and subject matter expert relationships Project manage complex issue campaigns on behalf of account leads and senior staff Effectively manage client deliverables, on-time and on-budget Write effective and persuasive client deliverables, including messaging documents, research briefs, planning documents, opinion editorials, memos, and more Media Buying & Optimization Oversee the planning, negotiation, and purchase of digital ad space across platforms (social, search, display, streaming, etc.) to maximize reach and efficiency Negotiate rates and placements with media vendors to secure optimal value and performance Continuously monitor, analyze, and optimize campaign performance using analytics tools to ensure maximum ROI and achievement of KPIs Reporting, Analytics & Compliance Develop and manage digital media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets Oversee relationships with media agencies, technology partners, and other external vendors to ensure high-quality service and campaign delivery Define, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and campaign metrics to senior leadership Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and inform strategy Provide actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement Ensure all campaigns comply with relevant data privacy, advertising, and industry regulations Stay up to date with digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge Business Development Assisting the Dezenhall team to develop new business proposals and participate in potential client pitches and presentations Qualifications 3 – 5 years of professional experience in digital marketing and media buying or digital advocacy or campaign roles Strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the evolving digital advertising landscape Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities Strong writing and presentation skills Understands the role of targeted digital paid media campaigns in conjunction with traditional public affairs tactics Extensive experience developing digital strategy and tactical assets like landing pages, microsites, ads (display, social, native, etc.), and video content Ability to distill complex concepts into clear plans, messaging, presentations and other work products Excels in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines Works well both independently and collaboratively Demonstrates initiative, quick thinking, and problem-solving skills Understand the ever-changing media and political landscape Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Canva Proficiency in leading digital marketing platforms, including audience segmentation (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads Audience Manager, LiveRamp), media buying (The Trade Desk, StackAdapt, Google DV360, Meta Ads Manager), and campaign reporting/analytics (Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Tableau). Ability to travel as needed The salary range for Senior Counselor is $80,000 – $95,000.
