Oracle Developer with Informatica

Job Description Our direct client is a multi-billion dollar global company with offices across the US, seeking an Oracle Developer with Informatica expertise. Duration: 8-9 months Contract to Hire Note: For this contract-to-hire position, we prefer US citizens or green card holders. We may consider strong H1B candidates if they meet the following criteria: At least 3 years remaining on their visa at the time of converting to full-time employment (i.e., 3.5+ years remaining when first submitted). No approved I-140. Not on F1 (OPT/CPT) or L1 visas. Required Skills Approximately 8 years of overall IT/software development experience. 4+ years recent experience as an Oracle developer, with strong skills in Oracle PL/SQL, including packages, triggers, PL/SQL blocks, and Unix Korn shell scripting. Experience working on large Oracle databases using SDLC methodologies (agile, waterfall). Proficiency in performance tuning, application monitoring, and supporting production applications with distributed teams. Ability to write detailed technical specifications, design, validate, and execute software test plans. Working knowledge of SQL Server and experience in automotive marketing and/or CRM applications preferred. Oracle certifications are a plus. Deep understanding of Informatica Power Center workflows and mapping components. Ability to tune Informatica workflows and knowledge of optimal mapping techniques. Experience developing comprehensive Informatica solutions for large OLTP systems or data warehouses. Knowledge of FTP in Unix. Understanding of database architecture, best practices for Oracle SQL and PL/SQL coding, and application tuning. Skill in constructing reusable PL/SQL packages, triggers, blocks, and Korn shell scripts to support workflows and file transfer processes. Strong impact-analysis skills to analyze existing code and maximize code reuse. Development experience in Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Korn shell scripting. Experience working on large Oracle databases (>1TB) and supporting production environments. Experience working with offshore teams and in automotive marketing/CRM applications is preferred. Familiarity with source control systems like VSS, TFS, etc., is preferred.
