If you're passionate about high performance, seamless experiences, and shaping how millions of players connect and engage, this is your chance to make a lasting impact.You have:Excellent programming skills in Java and related frameworks like Spring BootExperience in object-oriented design methodologiesExperience building high performance and scalable web servicesExperience writing automated testsExperience in building and deploying applications using container-based solutions.Experience with MySQL or other relational database systems.Experience building applications using various AWS servicesExperience with one or more NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Redis, etc.Understanding of observability practices-metrics, logging, and tracing using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or OpenTelemetryKnowledge of event-driven architectures and tools like Apache Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, or similarExperience working in an Agile environmentA sense of urgency and ownership over the productExcellent written and oral communication skillsDemonstrated experience developing and delivering both consumer facing web based solutions and intranet/extranet type applications for internal users and partnersYou may also have:Passion for games and player-centric design, or prior experience in the gaming industryHands-on experience with load testing, profiling, and performance tuning of backend servicesFamiliarity with feature flagging, A/B testing frameworks, or experimentation platformExperience with or interest in using Generative AI (GenAI) tools for improving developer productivity.#LI-TF1Please refer to ourCandidate Privacy Noticefor more information about how we process your personal information, and your data protection rights.At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role's base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and addition, this role is eligible for SIE's top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, wellness program and coveted employee discounts for Sony products.
