Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the the role of Distribution Power Engineer, we'll count on you to:Coordinate the work of the power design team through the schematic design development and contract document phase of a projectEstablish meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code complianceCoordinate workload to complete the deliverable on schedule.Conduct work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager and other disciplinesReview project documents for areas of conflict with other disciplines.Write and edit project specificationsCoordinate with and assist affected disciplines with addenda, requests for information (RFIs), change orders (COs), and take responsibility to incorporate agreed-upon changes into the project documentsProvide construction contract administration as neededConduct QA/QC on the work of other Engineers, Project Coordinators or Designers, or BIM Technicians as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsMasters degree in EngineeringA minimum of 3 years experience in project execution within the Power Market SectorPrevious experience with an engineering consulting firm3+ years of experience in distribution planning, distribution modeling, distribution coordination, distribution line design.Willingness to have a strong in office presence 4-5 days a weekInterest in engaging in technical and industry groups (IEEE, NAPE, EPRI, etc.)Exposure to developing project manhour and cost estimates, and schedules.Experience performing structural analysis, plan and profile preparation, line optimization, preparing specifications and drawings, and other engineering documents required for overhead and underground line projectsPrior experience in foundations design using software such as L-Pile, Caisson or MFAD preferred.Experience performing aspects associated with overhead and underground electrical distribution system analysis and design, lighting design, distribution field staking, joint-use field review and design, and knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). Experience with electrical and planning analysis software i.e. CYMCAP, ETAP or Polywater Pull PlannerExperience with design tools for pole loading analysis: i.e. O-calc, SpidaCalc or Pole ForemanExperience using Cad software packages for Electrical Distribution i.e. PLS-CADD, MicroStation/AutoCAD/ArcGISStrong client skills are preferred.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) licensePrevious experience in project execution within the Power Market puter skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Power Market Sector design software.
