Position SummaryWe are seeking a visionary and results-oriented Vice President of Artificial Intelligence to lead the company's global AI initiatives. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who possesses a unique combination of strategic foresight, deep technical expertise, and a proven track record of operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned executive with hands-on experience in building and managing a large, PhD-level team, and a history of successfully deploying a high volume of complex, enterprise-grade AI models, with a specific focus on agentic systems.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Define and execute the company/'s long-term AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives and market opportunities. Identify new areas for AI innovation that will drive significant business value.Team Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a world-class team of 20+ PhD-level researchers and engineers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Technical Execution: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of the company/'s AI model portfolio, with a mandate to deliver at least 20 new model deployments across the company/'s product suite. This includes research, development, deployment, and ongoing optimization.Agentic Systems: Drive the development and operationalization of sophisticated agentic AI systems that enhance the company/'s product capabilities and create new user experiences.Product Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, engineering, and data teams to embed AI seamlessly into the company/'s software products, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.Thought Leadership: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and with key clients. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and machine learning and integrate them into the company/'s roadmap.Required Qualifications10+ years of experience in AI/ML leadership roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership position within a multi-billion dollar enterprise software company.Demonstrable experience leading and managing a high-performing team of 20 or more technical professionals, with a strong preference for candidates with direct experience managing PhDs.Proven track record of successfully deploying a minimum of 20 distinct AI models at scale within an enterprise environment.Hands-on experience with the development, deployment, and maintenance of complex agentic AI systems.Deep expertise in modern AI/ML architectures, platforms, and methodologies.Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Preferred QualificationsA PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.Experience with building AI platforms or managing a centralized AI/ML Platform team.A strong portfolio of publications in top-tier AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology and EngineeringIndustriesSoftware Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
