Software bridges the gap between military objectives, theoretical astrodynamics and the human and autonomous control of spacecraft and ground systems in time and space. True Anomaly is seeking a highly-experienced Elixir Software Engineer to lead development of our distributed spacecraft ground control system.You do not need to have experience building space ground systems or experience in aerospace. RESPONSIBILITIESDesign, develop, and sustain satellite command and control, mission planning, mission data processing and data analysis software systems using ElixirBring your voice to the table in team collaborations on architecture, design, and code reviewsInteract and collaborate with engineers from various disciplines to create emergent resultsQUALIFICATIONS5+ years of software development experienceFunctional programming in languages like Elixir, Erlang, Clojure, Haskell or RustProven experience developing resilient and fault-tolerant architectureDemonstrated leadership ability, exceptional written and oral communication skills, and aptitude for working across disciplinesEnjoys debugging and problem solving live systemsExperience with distributed systemsA strong bias towards understanding and rejecting the status quoPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in computer science or similar discipline or relevant experienceDeep understanding of Elixir and OTP including BEAM scheduling, GenServers, run queues, and pg or the Actor modelExperience with OAuth2 and role-based access controlsDatabase experience with PostgreSQL, MySQLExperience with monitoring and tracing in a distributed systemExperience working with real-time or game engine backendsAbility to maintain or obtain TS / / SCI clearanceCOMPENSATIONColorado Base Salaries :Software Engineer II : $140,000-$190,000Senior Software Engineer : $155,000-$215,000Staff Software Engineer : $175,000-$240,000California Base Salary :Software Engineer II : $145,000-$200,000Senior Software Engineer : $160,000-$225,000Staff Software Engineer : $180,000-$255,000Washington D.C.
