We invest in our employees, clients and partner relationships, as well as in the technology and resources necessary to remain competitive, working in a competitive environment that inspires innovation.As a recognized leader in providing Private Markets Investment and Technology Solutions to clients across the globe, we manage approximately $134.9 billion in discretionary assets and have oversight of an additional $821.2 billion in non-discretionary assets as of December 31, 2024.Your ResponsibilitiesOversee annual auditsReview and final approval of annual and quarterly financial statements, tables, and footnotes for 70+ private equity funds and feeder vehiclesImplement and oversee accounting processes and system of internal controls completed by internal staff and outside resourcesEnsure continuous improvement of processes surrounding the financial reporting processOversee the review and approval processes for management fee and partnership expenses calculations and invoicesManage all third-party administrators and vendor relationships pertaining to fund vehiclesWork with Company department managers to meet goals, including corporate reporting deadlines, efficient management of investment fund lines of creditCoordinate/oversee tax filing process (quarterly or periodic withholdings for non-US limited partners, Forms 1042/8804) and annual Federal and state tax filings (completed by external accounting firms)Final review and approval of accounting positions in memosReview valuations of investments and present conclusions to valuation committeesDevelop and monitor annual department budget and forecastsPresent functional capabilities to clients and prospects, participate in periodic Back Office Best Practice events for clients and others, and manage, coach, and develop reporting staffYour Background Will IncludeUndergraduate degree (B.A., B.S. or B.B.A.) in Accounting or related field8+ years’ experience in Fund Accounting with exposure to private markets/private equity funds2-3+ years’ experience of leading a Fund Accounting oversight team or similar functionActive CPA license preferredTechnical understanding of various carried interest or incentive fee and calculations through complex structuresAccomplished at financial statement preparation and presentationExcellent communication and presentation skills and ability to develop interdepartmental relationshipsProficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Superior organization and excellent analytical skillsBenefitsHamilton Lane offers a competitive benefits package designed to support employees and their families.Healthcare coverage, mental health resources, health & fitness reimbursement program, and Wellness Rewards ProgramTuition and certification reimbursement program, ongoing education and development trainingsPaid time off to volunteer and referral bonuses for qualified new hiresAdoption reimbursement, paid parental leave, nursing support travelRetirement programs and employee stock purchase planCompetitive salary, annual discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 401k, Life Insurance, Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, ESPP, Health Club Reimbursement, Flexible Spending Accounts)Hamilton Lane is an affirmative action-equal opportunity employer.
