OverviewDirector of FinanceOur client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to oversee their company's financial planning, analysis, and operations. This role will have a strong focus on the company's retail real estate portfolio, managing leasing finance activities, and leveraging Power BI for enhanced financial reporting and insights. The ideal candidate will be a trusted financial advisor to the executive team, driving financial strategy and ensuring the long-term fiscal health and growth of the organization.This range is provided by Navigate Search. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range$180,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesLead the financial strategy, planning, and analysis for our portfolio of retail real estate locations, including short-term and long-term budgeting and forecasting.Oversee all leasing finance activities for retail properties, from the negotiation of new leases and renewals to the financial analysis of lease terms and agreements.Ensure full compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards for all retail leases, working closely with the accounting team.Conduct in-depth financial analysis of the retail property portfolio, providing insights on performance, profitability, and trends.Develop, maintain, and automate financial dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide senior leadership with clear, real-time insights into the retail real estate portfolio's performance.Present financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to the executive team and board on matters related to retail properties, including acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships related to the retail portfolio, optimizing performance and mitigating risk.Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and alignment with company goals.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.A minimum of 5-10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including management experience.Proven, hands-on experience with commercial real estate finance, specifically with a retail property focus.Deep expertise in leasing finance and a strong understanding of ASC 842 lease accounting standards.Advanced proficiency in financial systems and Power BI for reporting, analysis, and dashboard development.Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.Strong strategic thinking and a history of implementing process improvements and efficiencies.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesReal Estate and Retail #J-18808-Ljbffr
