Accounting Manager

Information Consulting and Engineering Job Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager responsible for applying generally accepted accounting principles and procedures to plan, manage, and execute monthly close activities. The role involves analyzing financial information, preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring internal control procedures, and innovating to increase accuracy and reduce time-to-close. You will be an integral part of a growing accounting and finance team, thriving in a fast-paced startup environment as an enthusiastic and hands-on individual. Responsibilities Include: Manage month, quarter, and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of results (cash, prepaid expenses, other assets, fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, accruals, commissions, and expense classification). Assist with commission payment calculations. Oversee monthly consolidation of overseas entities. Assist with revenue recognition software (e.g., 605 & 985). Collaborate with Finance on monthly budget versus actual analyses. Assist with quarterly and annual income tax requests. Support the annual budget planning process. Participate in external audits, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. Help establish and maintain financial policies and procedures. Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or finance. Additional skills: Software Revenue Recognition, Sales Commission Calculation, International Consolidation, Netsuite Implementation. Minimum of 6 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a public accounting firm. Deep knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word). Experience with QuickBooks, Netsuite, and Xactly (commission software).
