OverviewMANAGING DIRECTOR – INVESTMENT BANKINGWe are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Managing Director to grow our middle-market presence in Illinois, Florida, Arizona and Texas. Primary responsibilities include originating and leading the execution of M&A advisory and capital raising transactions. This professional will have strong marketing skills, a broad network within a specific industry, and a strong referral network from which to generate new business for the firm. While our headquarters is in Chicago, the location of this Managing Director is flexible.Please note: applicants should be currently registered with FINRA. A list of relevant completed M&A transactions and active FINRA licenses should be provided at application. ResponsibilitiesDeal Execution ResponsibilitiesLead deal teams on a variety of transactions from initial client pitch to transaction closingManage day-to-day aspects of client relationships, transactions, and investment banking teams and serve as primary client contact on engagementsProvide leadership, professional development and mentoring for junior staffBusiness Development ResponsibilitiesActively pursue business development opportunities and originate new client engagements for the firm within selected industry sectorDevelop prospect and referral networks and support firm efforts in developing and executing business development and marketing strategiesMaintain deep knowledge and expertise in an industry sectorParticipate in key industry conferences, speaking opportunities, and marketing efforts to generate exposure and promote the firmQualificationsFifteen-plus years of experience at a boutique or regional investment bankProven track record of new business development and originating and closing investment banking engagementsEstablished relationships with private equity firms, middle market businesses, and referral sourcesDeep knowledge, expertise, and transaction history within a specific industryExperience managing day-to-day aspects of client relationships, transactions, and investment banking teamsUnderstanding of capital advisory services and the M&A process, complex transactions, and deal structuring and negotiationEntrepreneurial mindset and ability to contribute to the firm’s long-term growthBachelor’s degree required; MBA preferredFINRA Series 7 or 79 requiredSeniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinance, Business Development, and ManagementIndustriesInvestment Banking and Financial Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
