Director of Finance

Overview A fast-growing company in the warehouse and distribution space is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its finance and accounting function. Reporting directly to the COO, this role will oversee all accounting operations, compliance, reporting, and financial planning across multiple subsidiaries. Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Additional compensation types Annual Bonus A fast-growing company in the warehouse and distribution space is seeking a Director of Finance to lead its finance and accounting function. Reporting directly to the COO, this role will oversee all accounting operations, compliance, reporting, and financial planning across multiple subsidiaries. Responsibilities Lead the Finance & Accounting department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Oversee AP, AR, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Prepare GAAP-compliant quarterly and annual financial statements. Manage compliance with state/federal regulations, GAAP, and multi-state sales tax reporting (Avalara). Reconcile balance sheet accounts and oversee capital asset projects. Support senior management with financial planning, variance analysis, and strategic recommendations. Serve as the primary liaison with external partners (CPA firms, banks, auditors, insurance). Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA highly preferred). 5+ years of accounting/financial management experience. Strong understanding of GAAP, financial compliance, and multi-entity reporting. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data analysis). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
