Position Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will oversee all financial operations of the company, providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the company's financial health. This role requires a strong foundation in accounting, with a progression into finance, and will report directly to the President. Key responsibilities include: Leading, mentoring, and developing the accounting and finance team, including financial reporting, budget management, analysis, and forecasting. Establishing and managing relationships with capital partners, including debt and equity sources. Generating and automating financial and operational reports aligned with strategic goals. Leading monthly close processes and preparing GAAP financial statements. Providing financial insights and analysis to support strategic planning and operational initiatives. Driving value creation and identifying new growth opportunities. Participating in financial analysis of acquisitions and capital transactions. Developing efficiencies and processes in collaboration with functional leaders. Partnering with leadership to implement best practices across the company. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. CPA certification required. Experience at a Big 4 accounting firm and in the real estate industry preferred; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred. Minimum 5 years' experience in financial leadership roles within real estate. Over 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, including public accounting. Strong strategic and executional skills, with a detail-oriented approach. Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with experience in change management a plus. Experience developing reports in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong presentation skills. Robust financial modeling skills and best practices. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
