OverviewTax Manager (Hybrid) with a flexible work schedule and growth opportunities. This role is a 30-year CPA firm’s next Tax Manager, responsible for managing all tax-related activities, including planning, compliance, and research. The position reports to the Senior Tax Director and supports strategic financial planning.Base pay range$95,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesOversee and manage all aspects of the company's tax operations, including tax planning, compliance, and research.Prepare and review complex individual and corporate tax returns in accordance with federal, state, and local tax laws.Provide tax advisory services to the management team, assisting with strategic financial planning and decision-making.Conduct regular tax research to stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations, and provide recommendations for tax strategies that align with the company's business objectives.Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting, and work with external auditors to facilitate tax audits.Develop and implement tax policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.Provide training and guidance to junior staff on tax matters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax management, with a strong background in individual and corporate tax.Proficiency in tax preparation and advisory services, with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Excellent tax research skills, with the ability to stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations and provide strategic tax advice.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team and foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Why join usHybrid options, limited overtime (tax season only), health/dental/vision/disability and life insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, new business compensation plan, and a supportive leadership team with a strong client pliance and equal opportunityJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
