Role Summary Responsible for managing all aspects of tax risks for the entire enterprise. These responsibilities fall into four main categories: financial statement reporting, planning and effective tax rate management, audit defense and compliance. Key Accountabilities Direct the preparation, review, and timely filing of federal and state income tax returns. Manage all corporate tax compliance areas including income, sales/use, and property tax. Lead tax-related SEC disclosures and ensure SOX 404 compliance for tax and REIT functions. Oversee IRS and state audits, including managing communications, documentation, and resolution. Develop tax planning strategies that minimize risk and optimize tax positions. Coordinate with external consultants and serve as the internal tax expert across the organization. Support strategic business transactions, including M&A tax planning and post-acquisition integration. Partner with departments like HR, Accounts Payable, and Fixed Assets to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance. Education & Experience (Required) Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Master's Degree in Taxation or Accounting 7+ years of income tax experience including in-depth knowledge of SOX 404 and FIN 48 4+ years IRS and state audits experience 2+ years Public Accounting as a CPA Education & Experience (Preferred) CPA - Certified Public Accountant by start date Why You’ll Love Working Here Join a team that achieves together.
