Headquartered in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Navarro has active programs in place across the nation for DOE/NNSA, NASA, and the Department of Defense.Navarro is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy, operations, and compliance. The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for driving long-term financial health, ensuring adherence to government contracting requirements, and supporting Navarro's growth strategy.The CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, audits, forecasting, budgeting, compliance, and system optimization with Deltek Costpoint. This individual must bring extensive experience in federal government contracting and be capable of partnering with senior executives, operations leaders, and external stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.This position is open to candidates nationwide.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic leadership for the financial operations of Navarro, including accounting, reporting, treasury, budgeting, and forecastingServe as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on financial planning, risk management, and growth strategiesEnsure compliance with FAR, CAS, and GAAP standards, as well as all DOE, NASA, and DoD financial requirementsLead company-wide budget development, forecasting, and long-term financial planningOversee the preparation of financial statements, indirect rate structures, and government-required reportingDirect and optimize the use of Deltek Costpoint across accounting, reporting, and project management functionsManage company readiness and responses for government audits (DCAA, DCMA, DOE OIG, etc.), including oversight of audit defense strategiesDevelop, implement, and monitor financial policies, internal controls, and risk management frameworksDrive improvements in financial processes, automation, and reporting accuracyBuild and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team, fostering professional growth and succession planningPartner with Contracts, HR, Operations, and Program Management to ensure financial accuracy across projects and business linesRepresent Navarro to banks, auditors, government agencies, subcontractors, and other external stakeholdersSupport M&A evaluations, cost/pricing strategies, and strategic business development initiativesDue to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements, US citizenship is required.Navarro is an equal-opportunity employer.
