OverviewThe Vice President of Product Management creates and executes the product vision for our public safety dispatch and call center recording solutions. This role is critical to shaping the future of emergency response technology, ensuring our products empower dispatchers, first responders, public safety agencies and other organizations with reliable, intuitive, and innovative tools.Salary$150k-$195k+ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership — Define and execute a product strategy that aligns with the unique needs of public safety agencies, first responders and dispatch centers. Collaborate with executive leadership to align product initiatives with company growth and mission. Identify emerging trends in emergency communications, CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch), and NG911 to inform product direction. Engage and develop technical partnerships to foster long-term profitability for the company and partners. Act as a product evangelist and participate in press activities, conferences and discussions with thought leaders and market analysts.Customer & Market Focus — Engage directly with dispatchers, first responders, and government stakeholders to understand pain points and opportunities. Translate customer feedback and regulatory requirements into actionable product features. Monitor competitive landscape and evolving standards (e.g., APCO, NENA) to maintain relevance and compliance. Provide prompt, courteous, and professional support for the CEO and for internal teams, resellers, partners, and customers.Team & Process Leadership — Collaborate with VP Technology to build and lead a high-performing R&D team with domain expertise. Collaborate with VP Sales to define pricing and positioning. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Implement agile product development practices and ensure cross-functional alignment.Product Execution — Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept to launch and iteration. Prioritize features and roadmap based on impact, feasibility, and urgency. Ensure products meet rigorous standards for reliability, security, and usability in mission-critical environments. Lead, define, represent, and communicate product strategy to all stakeholders. Develop budgets, forecasts and metrics. Monitor product development sprints and evaluate results.Performance Measurements — Deliver innovative, reliable, and compliant dispatch solutions with high adoption and satisfaction among public safety agencies. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and industry partners. Create a clear and actionable product roadmap aligned with market needs. Demonstrate measurable impact on operational efficiency, response times, and community safety.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Proven success in launching and scaling enterprise-grade software solutions.Strong understanding of CAD systems, GIS, mobile dispatch, and interoperability standards.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially with government and public sector clients.Experience and knowledge of the Public Safety and Contact Center markets preferred.Skills & CompetenciesStrategic vision and execution in regulated, high-stakes environments.Deep empathy for end users in public safety roles.Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making.Familiarity with compliance standards (CJIS, HIPAA, etc.).Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.Technical fluency and understanding of software development processes.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionManagement #J-18808-Ljbffr
