OverviewOur client is a privately held, fast-growing manufacturer in the aerospace and defense sector that’s looking to add an experienced Sales Director. This role is focused on expanding major OEM and Tier 1 relationships, driving new business, and supporting long-term strategic growth. Experience selling into GE Aerospace required. The role also comes with strong earning potential and growth opportunities.The Sales Director will actively seek out and obtain new business while growing the existing GE Aerospace footprint, increasing sales revenues, market share and profitability.Key AccountabilitiesAble to build strong relationships and interact at all levels of a customer’s organization to support all customer activities.Responsible for developing new and creative business opportunities for aviation OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers with a concentration on GE Aerospace.Assist with the development of business cases for new business opportunities.Coordinate with the Plant Managers, Account Managers, Technical Sales Engineers, and Leadership for both renewals and new business agreementsCoordinate cross-functional business teams to respond to request for proposals for various business opportunities.Respond to various requests for quotations for new componentsAssist with budgets and forecasting of revenue, and profit in support of company’s profitable growth planNegotiate final terms and conditions in coordination with VP Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Quality, and Company LeadershipAbility to travelMinimum of seven to ten years’ strategic account management experience, preferably with Fortune 100 accounts, employing a consultative selling methodology and selling complex solutions to achieve quantifiable business benefits.Proven experience working for and/or selling into GE AerospaceMinimum of 5 years Aerospace/Defense experienceBachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or other technical relevant disciplines preferred.Demonstrated success in selling and negotiating large, multi-year deals and in building and executing strategic account plans.Documented success in meeting or exceeding revenue plans, consistently ranking within the top 20% of your company.Mastery of executive strategic sales techniques as they apply to national accounts in diverse industries.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to analyze and evaluate territory dynamics to develop and implement sales plans.Ability to relate customer requirements and complex business concepts to internal resource teams.Ability to perform financial analyses to support quoting and business approvals.Aggressive team player who interfaces well at all levels of the organization.
