Equal Opportunity Employer information is included below.What you will doLead and manage multiple concurrent projects as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Interact directly with Principals and Directors, lead a team, and participate in client meetings with Contractors. Provide strong technical leadership in HVAC systems design, from concept through construction administration, including preparing detailed calculations and drawings for a wide range of building types. Preference is given to candidates with Government/Federal Projects, Civic/Public Works, Healthcare, and Higher Education experience.ResponsibilitiesLead & manage multiple concurrent projects; client-facing and able to meet with clients and contractors.Develop HVAC designs from concept through construction; prepare design calculations and mechanical system layouts.Coordinate HVAC with architecture, structure, and other disciplines.Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives; support construction administration.Engage in business development activities and assist in RFP/interview processes.Participate in community and/or industry organizations.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from ABET-accredited college or universityPE License highly desiredSecurity clearance preferred, not required8 to 10+ years of experience with an MEP or Engineering Consulting firm designing HVAC systems on complex projectsProficient in Revit and AutoCADExperience with Government/Federal Projects, Civic/Public Sector, Healthcare, Higher EducationAbility to develop HVAC designs from concept through construction; coordinate with other disciplinesDirect client contact experience and ability to foster client relationships; assist in project objectives and documentation policiesSupport business development processes and participate in RFPs and interviewsActive involvement with community/industry organizationsDesirable (not required)Experience and interest in Sustainable Building DesignLEED AP or LEED GAUnderstanding of architectural design processesBenefitsHybrid work schedulesMeaningful work; competitive compensationComprehensive benefits packageFlexible work schedulesAccelerated career growthInterested in hearing more?
