Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview A client in the San Diego Area is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team located in Rancho Bernardo. The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Technologies Sr. Manager of High-Speed Digital and, alongside high-caliber staff, be engaged in the engineering support and new development of satellites and space systems, high-energy laser systems, advanced aerospace and electro-optic sensors, space-based optical communications, and nuclear thermal propulsion. We are looking for a hardware and circuit board design lead to participate in the concept development and prototype design, integration, and test of high-power processing and controls solutions for all product lines and technology areas. These encompass high-power motor drives, power conditioning systems, high-energy laser systems, battery systems, advanced aerospace and electro-optic sensors, space-based optical communications, small satellites and space systems, nuclear thermal propulsion, optical beam pointing and control, and signal/image processing. They will also function in a leadership role for a project/program and provide planning, direction and oversight to less experienced professional staff or a team of professional staff in technical efforts.
