Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that''s built for you.What does this role look like?The Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program is looking for its next enthusiastic and motivated Electronics Engineer. This individual will work in a dynamic team environment overseeing the development of THAAD Telemetry box. THAAD is a cutting-edge missile defense system that protects our nation and its allies from ballistic missile threats.ResponsibilitiesOversee the development of the THAAD Telemetry box within a dynamic team environment.Collaborate on design, integration, verification, and testing of electronics hardware for missile defense applications.Contribute to system-level understanding of avionics products and ensure compliance with requirements and schedules.Basic QualificationsDemonstrated expertise in complex missile, space, and/or aircraft systems.Demonstrated technical depth and breadth in Electrical Engineering.Experience in design and test of complex electrical hardware.Experience working on project teams and development efforts.Experience with design of digital and analog circuits.Experience troubleshooting hardware using schematics, drawings, and simulation tools.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance; ship is required.Desired SkillsPrevious THAAD experience.Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience.EMRB Certified or equivalent experience.Experience as a hardware designer or product owner (e.g., Certified Principal Engineer or equivalent). Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative team environment and build effective relationships.Strong communication skills to articulate complex issues to technical and non-technical peers and customers.Experience leading/coordinating small diverse teams in development of technical products.Experience leading Failure Review Board (FRB) investigations to address Root Causes with Corrective Actions (RCCA).Experience with PCB/CCA design and electronic packaging; electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, FMECA).Experience in all phases of development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs.Knowledge of data/video compression and Enterprise Product Data Management (EPDM) or equivalent.Ability to drive closure and resolve technical issues/bination of engineering project leadership, supplier management, and cost/schedule tracking experience.Risk and opportunity experience with continuous improvement concepts.CAD modeling and drafting proficiency (CREO or equivalent).Active Secret clearance (or higher).EEO and BenefitsEEO Lockheed Martin is an equal opportunity employer.
