Senior Structural Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - $175,000 per yearWhy join us?Large projects including rail, airports (JFK), and critical infrastructureGreat reputation in the industryLarge backlog of projects that keep the role stable and profitable for the companyGreat benefits and PTO options!Job DetailsPE is required for this role!ResponsibilitiesDesigning, planning, and overseeing the construction of structural components of projects, ensuring they meet all safety and quality standards.Collaborating with architects, construction managers, and other engineers to determine project specifications.Conducting site investigations to gather data for planning and design.Preparing technical reports, designs, and drawings using AutoCAD 3D.Performing geotechnical analysis and foundation design.Ensuring all projects comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and laws.Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and other members of the engineering team.Performing risk management and mitigation activities to minimize potential project delays or cost overruns.Participating in project meetings and providing updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.Continuously updating knowledge and expertise in structural engineering and construction methodologies.QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred.Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is required. Licenses in New York, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey are strongly considered.Engineer-In-Training (EIT) or equivalent certification is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in structural engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D and other relevant engineering software.Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.Equal OpportunityJobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
