This role requires someone with experience in multiple technologies such as virtualization, networking, and storage, and who has designed, implemented, or managed virtual solutions for customers.You will work independently on various efforts including pre-sales activities, customer requirements gathering, collaborating with engineering on behalf of customers, and developing best practices and reference architectures. This is a pre-sales role for a serious technical person willing to assist with sales efforts and customer installations while working with support and sales organizations.Responsibilities IncludeWork with VAR partners and customers to develop and implement best practices and optimal configurationsAct as an evangelist – speaking at public forums and events, writing articles, blogs, and whitepapersTrain VARs and partners through hands-on knowledge transfer and training sessionsParticipate in remote sessions (Webex/GotoMeeting) with potential customers to demonstrate the productElicit, document, and analyze customer requirements for desktop solutionsPresent and whiteboard technical solutions to all organizational levelsSupport customer and VAR installations as an ICE Group Client infrastructure and implementation expertCollaborate with the sales team as a technical resource in support of sales effortsWork with marketing and engineering to provide product positioning and technical requirementsQualificationsAt least 2 years of virtualization experience, including designing and implementing virtual solutions (VMware preferred, other platforms beneficial)Hands-on experience with VMware View and Citrix XenDesktop, or similar virtual desktop infrastructure platformsUnderstanding of desktop environments, management tools, and processesKnowledge of Active Directory, GPOs, security, and managementKnowledge of desktop resource requirements (CPU, memory, disk, networking)Familiarity with deployment and management tools for virtual and physical desktopsBasic understanding of application deployment methods and technologiesProfessional presentation skills and ability to communicate at technical and business levels.Experience managing customer expectations and working with technical and management teamsProven ability to produce technical documentation (whitepapers, design guides, KB articles)Self-managed with the ability to prioritize and manage schedules independentlyPassion for customer success and willingness to go the extra mileExcellent organizational, customer service, communication, and account management skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing situationsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
