Join our team and build a career as unique as you are.Job DescriptionRole Type: W2 ContractorNote: We are unable to partner on a corp-to-corp (C2C) basisStart Date: Mid to End of MayHourly Rate: Up to $70/hr.Availability: Flexible working hours, including nights and weekendsTravel requirements: 0 up to 25%What You’ll DoAs a non-exempt/hourly employee at Burwood, the Hybrid Infrastructure Consultant will be part of a group of engineers whose activities will provide support for our clients, ensuring seamless implementation and configuration of Azure-based infrastructure. This role requires strong project skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work in a team this role, the Hybrid Infrastructure Consultant will have the following responsibilities:Key Technical Skills:Execute plans for the migration of on-prem applications of various types to new virtual environments in AzurePerform server-to-server application migrationPhysical to Virtual Migration experience, brownfield deployments, technology transformationAssist with the setup and configuration of on-prem & cloud environments, remote access, and cloud integration services with oversight from the Hybrid Infrastructure Lead and Cloud Solutions teamsManage virtualized server hosts; ESXi/Hyper-V experience preferredAssist with the setup and configuration of virtualized Windows servers, remote desktop services, centralized DHCP, Windows file permissions, and Active Directory management.Documentation and Post-Implementation Testing:Reconfigure and test servers, manage access, and assist with deploying printers.Perform functional and validation testing of all reconfigured/re-hosted softwareSupport and Troubleshooting:Perform technical troubleshooting and remote support using tools like TeamViewerGeneral Requirements:Flexible working hours, including nights and weekendsTravel requirements: nice to have, not required for this roleCertification in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware, Windows, Azure) is preferredWho You AreThe ideal candidate will have a proven record of accomplishment with the following:You have proven experience in working on complex technical projectsYou have strong organizational and communication skillsYou have expertise in configuring and managing Windows servers, software migrations, understanding file permissions, and resolving server issues.You can quickly adapt to unique challengesYou are detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skillsYou are comfortable interacting with and working with peersYou can build strong relationships and mentor colleaguesYou can manage your travel plans independently (hotel, airfare, rental car, etc.)You are willing to frequently work nights and weekends to facilitate site cutoversYou are flexible to support short-notice schedule changes and scheduling complexitiesThe TECH StuffManage virtualized server hosts; VMware vSphere/Hyper-V experience preferredExperience with some or all these technologies is a plus: Azure Virtual Machines, Azure networking, hybrid environments, Windows server and Azure Virtual Desktops.System Setup and Support:Collaborate with the Hybrid Infrastructure/Cloud Infrastructure teams for cloud-based configurations, including Azure setupsProvide Tier 2/3 level support for cloud infrastructure during HyperCare phasesThe PERKSAs a W2 contractor at Burwood we offer the following benefits:401(k)Health, dental, and vision insuranceOur Commitment to Diversity & InclusionWe are not intent on being the largest company but the best.
