We are motivated by the sense of responsibility and servant leadership.BenefitsMedical InsuranceVision InsuranceDental Insurance401(k)Paid Sick hoursJob DescriptionContract Drafting and ReviewDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including transportation agreements, warehousing contracts, service agreements, and vendor contractsEnsure that contracts are in compliance with relevant laws and regulations and reflect the best interferes of the companyRisk ManagementIdentify potential legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate themDevelop and implement strategies to protect the company’s interests and minimize legal exposureRegulatory ComplianceStay updated on federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to logistics, transportation, and warehouse managementProvide guidance and support to ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, including DOT, FMCSA, OSRA and othersLegal ResearchConduct legal research to stay current with evolving legal trends and industry-specific issuesTranslate legal findings into actionable recommendations for the companyDispute ResolutionAssist in the resolution of disputes, including contract disputes, claims, and litigation mattersCollaborate with outside counsel when necessaryPerform other duties as assigned or neededWork across time zones and cultures with a cross-functional group of stakeholdersAssist with ad-hoc or special projects as requestedSalary: 110K - 150kQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Active license to practice law in California4+ years of legal practices includingat least 1 year in logistics-, transportation-, and warehouse management-related transactional experienceWorking knowledge of industry-specific regulations such as DOT, FMCSA, OSRA, and logistics and warehousing contracts in generalExperience in different modes of transportation (e.g., truckload, flatbed, LTL, railroad, ocean, import & export)Demonstrated abilities to work in a fast-paced environment, meet stringent timelines, and handle multiple demand simultaneouslyExcellent client relationship experience and communication skills, and ability to work with a wide range of people with varying degrees of legal exposureDemonstrated abilities to work both independently and as a team playerExceptional attention to detailProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to conduct Internet research and abilities to learn internal contract management toolsPhysical Demands:The position requiresthe ability to talk and hear while performing the duties of this jobThe position requiresthe abilityto stand,walk,use hands to handle or feel,and reach with hands and armsThe position requiresdexterity to write and use computer keyboard and mouseTheposition requiresmultitaskingand solvingcomplex issues in a fast-paced environmentThis position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products, materials and supplies, up to 20 poundsAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.*** NO C2C *** #J-18808-Ljbffr
