Hello, We are looking to hire a prep cook/dish washer with some kitchen experience for Friday and Saturday nights.  Fish and Bird Sousaku Izakaya is an authentic Japanese restaurant with a modern, fresh, California flair. We serve the true Japanese food we grew up with in Japan. We want to work with people who appreciate the intricacy of Japanese cuisine and want to grow with us. Fish and Bird is a Michelin Guide-listed restaurant, and we are looking for a few great staff to join our team. . We also made the Esquire's Best New Restaurant 2021 list. Qualifications: Willing to work hard as part of the team Be caring of customers, co-workers, and people around you Have no job is too small attitude -- you will be asked to clean in addition to the cooking, serving, learning, etc.  Always stay busy -- if the restaurant is slow, then we need to be polishing glasses, silverware, etc. There will not be idle time. Be able to lift 50 lbs Be eligible to work in the U.S.  Have a food handlers certificate Have fun in a fast-paced environment! Other helpful skills: Knowledge of Japanese cuisine Experience in cleaning and filleting fish Experience in working with fryer Inventory management This is a part-time position.
