Job Title: Assistant General Manager Reports To: General Manager Direct Reports: FOH New fine dining steakhouse in Miami is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the guest experience. Proudly brought to you by the founders of Roberta’s and Foul Witch from NYC. Ezio’s will offer an elevated culinary experience in a stylish yet approachable atmosphere. Our ideal candidate for this role will have a passion for fine dining and excellent leadership skills. As an AGM, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing day to day restaurant operations and leading our FOH team to deliver impeccable service. You will be hands on, working side by side with the team to ensure the highest standards of guest experience while also managing operations, training, and performance. We’re looking for someone who will embody the brand, is passionate about hospitality, has a positive, solution oriented mindset, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. QUALIFICATIONS: 2+ years of fine dining experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or assistant management role. A strong understanding of hospitality and excellent guest service skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team. Proven ability to manage costs, including labor and food costs, while maintaining high service standards. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Knowledge of POS systems and general restaurant technology. A solid understanding of wine, beer, and cocktail offerings and the ability to guide guests through menu selections. Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on the needs of the business. Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Certificate that meets local requirements. Must be flexible to work nights, holidays and weekends according to the needs of the business. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the General Manager in overseeing all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service while maintaining high standards of quality. Lead by example, assisting the front-of-house team in providing exceptional service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Be involved in staff development, identifying growth opportunities within the team and assisting in performance evaluations and ensure consistent adherence to service standards. Assist with the management of staffing, including scheduling, training, and performance reviews, in collaboration with the GM. Monitor guest feedback, ensuring that any concerns or issues are addressed promptly and that guests leave with a memorable experience. Maintain strong communication between FOH and BOH teams, ensuring smooth coordination and service flow during peak hours. Contribute to the management of operational costs (labor, food, etc.) while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction. Oversee the restaurant’s compliance with health and safety standards, including food handling procedures and Department of Health (DOH) inspections. Understand all company policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs. Assist in the management of menus, inventory, ordering, scheduling, hiring and other admin work as needed to ensure smooth service. Participate in pre-shift meetings, helping to set the tone for the day and ensure that all staff members are aligned on goals and expectations. Assist the GM in mentoring new and existing staff and promoting a positive, collaborative work culture. Help with the coordination of team schedules to ensure proper coverage during service hours. Collaborate with the GM to manage restaurant marketing efforts, promotions, and special events as needed. Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times, adhering to restaurant policies and safety regulations. Represent the brand in all interactions, ensuring that every guest feels valued and receives a high level of hospitality. Partner and communicate with BOH team daily to ensure a smooth service.
