Banshee is an American bistro opening this fall at 1600 South St, from alums of Contra, The Four Horsemen, Cheu Noodle Bar and Bing Bing Dim Sum. We are now hiring our opening team; if you are a passionate cook that is interested in building and shaping the culture of a restaurant, learning and growing, and being a part of a dedicated and hardworking team, then send us your resume along with a brief note about yourself. This line cook position will be a part of launching the kitchen and the first menu, including all stations; garde manger, saute, grill, and pastry. The job will require flexibility and adaptability, problem solving skills and the ability to think critically about and improve the food on an ongoing basis. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with your peers and chefs as a team will also be critical. Training and education will be a continuous process. We expect open availability during the opening process and a commitment to the restaurant, the team and quality. -You have at least 1-2 years kitchen experience in a back of house position -You work with a positive and energetic attitude in a fast-paced environment -You have a strong work ethic with a curiosity to grow and learn -You work with integrity, warmth and graciousness -You are able to effectively communicate, give and take constructive criticism, and work productively in a team dynamic -You follow and uphold cleanliness and health code standards to an exceptional degree -You are able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods of time -You are able to lift 30+ pounds -You are available on nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
