A Day in The Life of a Truck Driver As a Truck Driver you will be responsible for transporting cargo to and from specified destinations. You will prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pick-up of goods to ensure timely service. The delivery truck that will be driven in this role ranges from a large van to 20-26' box trucks, automatics. This individual will drive 80% amount of time and work in the warehouse 20% amount of time. * Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Requires applicable truck driver license for state. * Load, secure, verify, and unload cargo * Maintain contact with dispatcher to receive instruction for delivery or pick up * Verify contents of inventory loads with shipping * Maintain records in accordance with regulations * Perform emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs etc., * Present bills and receipts and collect payments for goods delivered or loaded * Complete tasks such as yearly inventory, loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods.
