Job Description

A Southland Holdings company is currently accepting resumes for highly motivated Field Engineers to join our team in Denver, CO. Responsibilities/Duties: * Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals * Assist in management of project permit process * Assist is preparation of bid packages and procurement * Receive and review change orders * Assist more senior civil engineers with entry level engineering tasks * Assist with performing onsite construction administration and construction observation * Services including reporting/monitoring contractor's compliance with contract documents * Evaluates change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status. * Evaluates submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and takes appropriate * Action based upon contract specifications. * Reviews and processes as-built drawings to ensure that all changes during the course of construction are recorded. * Completes project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents. * Coordinates meeting agendas, prepares minutes and follows up on action items * Maintains effective and professional relationships with owners, architects, engineers and contractors. * Executes additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: * Construction/related degree with 1-5 years construction experience * Excellent computer skills and analytical ability * Experience working with Primavera P6, AutoCad * Understanding of industrial construction process * MUST - Experience in civil, infrastructure to include: Tunneling, heavy highway, DOT projects, pipeline, water treatment, marine, etc. * Must have ability to interpret contract specifications and drawings * Knowledge of contract procedures and principles * Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team environment * Ability to understand construction logic and sequencing of complex projects Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Relevant experience can waive degree.
