We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Pastry Sous Chef to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a kitchen that values innovation, discipline, and detail at the highest level. The Role: The Pastry Sous Chef will assist in leading our pastry program, overseeing the preparation, production, and plating of desserts and baked goods. This position requires both technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure consistency, quality, and creativity across all pastry offerings. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Executive Pastry Chef on menu development and seasonal creations. Lead daily pastry operations, including prep, execution, and plating. Ensure recipes, techniques, and plating standards are followed precisely. Maintain inventory, order supplies, and monitor food costs within budget targets. Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety. Qualifications: Minimum 3 years of professional pastry experience. Strong technical skills in pastry, baking, and plated dessert execution. Creativity, precision, and a passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven desserts. Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and organizational skills. Michelin or fine-dining experience is a plus, but not required. Important Note: As part of the interview process, all candidates will be required to complete a stáge (working interview) to demonstrate technical skills, teamwork, and fit within the Kojin kitchen environment.
