LAW ENFORCEMENT DEPUTY SHERIFF

Law Enforcement Deputy Sheriff: The Buckingham County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce open applications for the role of Law Enforcement Deputy Sheriff. Applicants for this position must meet several criteria: they must be at least 21 years of age and need to hold a valid Virginia driver’s license. Vision requirements include a minimum standard of 20/40 in each eye, which can be corrected with lenses if necessary. Additionally, applicants should present a height and weight that is proportionate and must have completed at least a high school education or have their GED. Candidates should either possess or be eligible for Virginia law enforcement officer certification; preference will be granted to those with current Virginia certification. As part of the application process, candidates will undergo a comprehensive background check and will need to consent to drug testing.
