RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is looking for a Chief Technologist to join our team. Provides leadership and management to technical services, assures that services are provided within professional standards. Operates appropriate scanners to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays. We offer great benefits and flexibility to meet your needs!ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :Screens patients before examination for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination.Performs routine and advanced radiologic procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illnesses and injuries with minimal supervision or repeats.Explains and prepares patients for procedures, including explaining the procedure, positioning patients, and providing support throughout.Accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).Adjusts scan parameters correctly, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate, and recommends protocols that meet physicians' needs.Follows physicians' orders precisely and conforms to safety regulations to protect all parties.Produces diagnostic images and performs quality control tasks as assigned.Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and physicians.Remains self-motivated to increase knowledge of the field, diseases, and procedures.Maintains and disinfects equipment, checks emergency equipment, and addresses hazardous conditions or breakdowns.Ensures an orderly, clean work area to promote safety.Promotes good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and staff.Staff Management (10%)Ensures knowledge of company policies, procedures, and protocols for all technologists.Assists in staff planning and hiring processes.Manages staffing levels for adequate modality coverage.Monitors and approves timecards.Oversees and assists with training new staff, providing resources and expertise.Schedules meetings with the Technical Operations Manager.Participates in staff performance evaluations and development plans.Leads staff meetings and employee one-on-ones.Participates in HR training sessions.Operations (10%)Coordinates patient relations to ensure high-quality service.Ensures compliance with regulations and internal policies regarding safety and licensing.Orders supplies following inventory control guidelines.5%) Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsARRT registered technologist, current and in good standing.Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program.Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.Current CPR certification.Experience to perform radiographic procedures independently.Advanced modality certification.Preferred :Bilingual abilities.Previous supervisory experience.Join us and be part of a team that is committed to delivering clinical excellence and innovative radiology services.
