The HRBP will report to the Head of Human Resources and work alongside the COO and other firm leaders to lead performance management, drive employee engagement and help shape a values-driven culture. This HRBP is passionate about building exceptional employee experiences, based inChicago, Dallas or New York and has at least six years of experience in professional services, investment banking or private equity. If you thrive in a high-performance culture and want to help build the future of a rapidly growing consultancy, this is the right role for you.ResponsibilitiesLead onboarding efforts for new team members, partnering with the HR team to enhance acclimation experience and to develop a tailored executive onboarding programCollaborate on employee engagement strategies that align with business goals, including end-to-end support of the annual engagement survey including design, launch, results analysis and action planningDrive mid-year and year-end performance management cycles, including the development and refinement of competency frameworks across practice linesPartner with Learning & Development to support the delivery of impactful learning experiences that foster growth and capability buildingCultivate strong relationships with Practice Line Leaders (PLLs), functional leaders and team members to deliver a high-touch, high-impact talent experienceProvide strategic HR advisory support to PLLs and managers on performance management, employee relations and team effectivenessOwn and optimize offboarding processes, manage leaves of absence and oversee workers’ compensation administrationManage immigration processes and ensure compliance with labor laws, including updates to policies and the employee handbookSupport HR data reporting and compliance audits (e.g., I-9, FLSA, EEOC), contributing to regulatory submissions and internal reviewsChampion operational excellence by streamlining HR processes, leveraging automation and AI to drive efficiency and scalabilityProvide coaching and mentorship to junior team members as neededShare and manage best practices and support internal trainings where requiredContribute to creating a high-performing and inclusive cultureQualificationsBachelor’s degree from a top undergraduate program in HR or a related fieldSix plus years of HR experience within professional service, investment banking or private equity; at least four years in an HRBP role or similarLocated in or willing to relocate to Chicago, Dallas or New YorkInvested in a team-based culture motivated to collaborate in office four days per weekProven ability tolead performance management cycles, including competency framework development and implementationExperience designing and executingemployee engagement initiatives, including survey management and action planningStrong understanding ofHR compliance, including labor laws, immigration and regulatory reporting (I-9, FLSA, EEOC)Experience supportingonboarding and offboarding processesPassion forprocess improvement, automation and leveraging AIto enhance HR operationsExperience with HR tools and systems; exposure to Lattice (performance management system) is a plusStrong executive presence and communication skillsProven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teamsHigh attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindsetTrack record of success in high-pressure environments$150,000 - $200,000 a yearThe City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum cash compensation for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate.
